Where the Men Met, is an ongoing architectural installation looking at the history of saunas, it’s myths and ideologies. There is a performative act surrounding saunas; from Roman bath’s social-political meetings to the domestic sauna rituals of Finland. The idea derives from the relationship between tradition, the nomadic and utopian ideas. Starting as an architectural proposal of a geodesic dome-like structure as a space of survival, resistance and an affine space. Where the Men met is a meeting point and an act of transformation.
